How often you are told leaders should lead from the front. I say lead from the front only when you want to protect your team. Let your team be ahead of you and experience how it feels to be up in front. Watch their backs and come forward when you need to shield them. If you are always in the front chances are you are not allowing anyone else to learn to be a leader.
Do not be hyper active in responding to situations, give your team a chance to act and see how it goes and guide them, instead of controlling everything by yourself.
You will be a better leader if you can produce better leaders than you.
